TOP 5 TIPS FOR EASIER HAIR BRUSHING ROUTINE
No 1 / Brush your hair before washing so it will be easier to comb out after washing.
You should brush the hair before shampooing. Hair being easier to wash isn’t the only reason for that. Brushing is the first stage of washing, allowing you to get rid of dead hairs, dead cells and most of the dirt. Easier-to-brush hair after washing is the biggest benefit, though.
No 2 / Use cool water for rinsing to seal the cuticle and make the hair smoother.
The way of rinsing the hair matters a lot. Ideally you should use an acid-based rinse, e.g. with apple cider vinegar, but even cool water alone will do. Both acidic environment and cool water close the cuticle scales so hair is way smoother and easier to brush.
No 3 / Use hair oil, liquid silk or smoothing serum after washing.
You can’t leave your hair unprotected after washing. A smoothing, softening and shine-enhancing product is a must. Choose a natural oil like argan, macadamia, almond or jojoba (ideally get the right one for your hair type and use it sparingly), or try liquid silk or other smoothing serum. A lightweight bi-phase leave-in conditioner will make the hair easier to comb too.
No 4 / Never comb wet hair unless it’s curly.
You want easy combing? Never do it when your hair’s wet. Doing it is among top hair care mistakes. Combing wet hair is a very bad idea because hair is much more delicate and easy to damage when it’s wet. To make things worse it is also coarse so a comb or hairbrush can’t glide through smoothly. It’s better to first dry the hair or brush it while drying (e.g. using a round brush).
No 5 / Use suitable accessories, combs, brushes.
Finally, the easiest way for making the brushing routine nice and easy. Choose the right accessories. What’s best? A hairbrush isn’t always a sure-fire option. If you have thick tresses, then a wooden wide-tooth comb is a better choice. On the other hand, delicate fine hair makes a perfect match with a natural bristle brush. Everyone’s hair is different so we need customized accessories to brush it out easily and pain-free.
